    DDD,

Are you worried at all about Cutler in week one, considering he is without Marshall and up against a tough pass DST like the Raiders?

Yes I am. It’s not a great start at all. Raiders have probably the best CB tandem in the NFL but a poor run D, no Marshall, will run a lot. Even tho I have him at #10, I could see playing Aaron Rodgers or even JTO over him.

How big of a question mark is Laurence Maroney. Lots of sights are saying big question mark due to lack of touches and crowded back field. Is he a every week starter or is he a number three back at best.

There’s no doubt Maroney comes with question marks. I wish I knew the answer for you, but NE is so unpredictable. Last year he was not fully healthy and often off the field b/c they threw so much and he didn’t block well. But he was pretty awesome over the final 6 weeks or so, and it appears he’s def. the guy in their backfield. As you can see, I have him 10th this week, so for now, I’ll say pretty much he’s an every week starter.

maroney will have a breakout season this year-
he was so solid at the end of the season for two reasons, one, it got cold in new england, and that will happen every year.
but second, teams we forced to spread out to handle the air attack, and that will continue through this entire season.
I think #10 back is fair, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he creeps up a couple spots by the end of the year

Humongous upside. He could flop. Or he could be a unanimous top-5 fantasy pick next year.

Wondering why Fargas isn’t on the list, he is the starter…

    #14 – Chad Ocho Cinco

Brandon Jacobs seemed to lose a lot more touches to ward last night then i thought he would is this a concern

Kritter – I should have put Fargas on there. You’re right. I’d have him at #29. But it wouldn’t be that crazy if he outproduced McFadden and I should have them flip-flopped.

Splevelbuge – It def. is of some concern. But I always expected the Giants to divvy out the carries this year b/c 1)Jacobs is injury prone 2)it’ll keep him fresh and 3) they run a lot and have 3 talented backs. I was more surprised A. Bradshaw wasn’t used at all. Shocking really.

Jacobs has stone hands, so they’ll want others in there on third downs, but him coming out every 3-4 series completely was not good news. Still, he’s the goal line guy and will always have an awesome YPC, so he’ll be productive even if he only gets 65-70 percent of the carries. Maybe it’ll keep him healthy too.

Would you start Cotchery over Welker this week?

Yes I would. But as you can see, I only have him 2 spots ahead, so it’s very close. If you have a Welker feel, go with your gut – better to lose with your own than someone elses. If it’s PPR, then maybe I’d say Welker, but he’s more a possession receiver, whereas Cotchery has upside to really blow up. Both are pretty good matchups.
