i trade a lot in my keeper league on gut feelings, iam getting a gut feeling that brandon jacobs is being held back for ainjury reasons and will not be big, who would you trade him for, or do i trade him for some buy low players like jones drew, maroney, ( what do you think of these 2)
i would like to deal him for forte but i dont think owner would, what do you think of all this ———thanks -
Randy – Actually, I’d stay away from Jones-Drew and (especially) Maroney. MJD is going to have a hard time being valuable unless Fred Taylor goes down (at his age this is very possible), b/c that running game just isn’t what it used to be will all those O-line injuries. Forget about Maroney – he’s always hurt, splitting carries and losing goal line touches.
I wouldn’t go giving Jacobs away – touchdowns will come. However, he is injury-prone and also splits carries to a degree, so if you want to deal him, what about for Chris Johnson? If McFadden were healthy, I’d say him too. Forte isn’t a bad deal either. Any of those 3 rooks. Maybe even J. Stewart.

not sure of best place to post this, but as a san diego fan, obviously i’m appalled at the outcome of the game yesterday
In the Union Tribune (our local paper) the headline was as if the world were coming to an end. I haven’t seen such a large bold headline on our paper. “BLOWN WHISTLE”
I’m appalled at the officiating both early and late in the game. But I’m even more appalled at how the defense played. No one could tackle a ball carrier in the first half. They had a couple flashes of greatness in the third quarter, but they only forced 1 turnover, a int by a rookie Nickel Back (the non-called fumble wasn’t forced anyway). And sacked the quarterback 1 time. We can’t blame this soley on merriman, what’s going on with this team? I know you picked Broncos from the get go, but in general, do you see the Chargers rebounding like they did from their 1-3 start last year? or is this going to be a truly ugly season? We have jets on monday night next week, who are also coming off a loss… I’m frightened.

I wouldn’t panic too much. As you know, I’m high on the Broncos this year – that offense is legit. But I am really impressed with Philip Rivers this year. Their O is going to be a force as well. The D looks good, not great, but even with Gates and LT hobbled, Sproles and the WRs will be enough. I still expect SD to be a playoff team. They’ll beat the Jets next week.

rivers’ numbers looked better than cutlers indeed…. Never expected this monday night game to turn out the way it has so far… wow

Me neither…went with Dallas in survivor this week. Sweat that one out.

Jumping the gun a little with this but freakin out. Braylon Edwards and Randy Moss are my two wideouts, great on paper, but are killing me. Should I be selling for an ocho cinco or someone else while there value is this low or should I be patient. It is only week 2 but with Brady gone and the Browns looking like a mere shadow of themselves from last year, im thinking the play of the two might be a trend
-
Moss’ value drops some w/o Brady, but I’d remain patient. I’m more worried about Ocho Cinco long-term anyway. If you can somehow turn Moss into Marshall or Calvin Johnson, then I’d do that, but for the most part, don’t freak out. Edwards will come around.
