With baseball winding down and football in full swing, basketball gets going at an awkward time. Nevertheless, hoops is just around the corner, and I’ll be writing for NBA.com this season. Check out my first blog post, where I go over some players I expect to be undervalued in fantasy drafts next month.

I have to choose between Andris Biedrins and Chris Kaman for a Keeper League. Who and Which I shall pick?

Tough decision there. I’d say Biedrins has more upside – only 21 years old, plenty of room left to grow, but without Elton Brand for much of the year, I expect Kaman’s numbers to rebound after last season’s disappointing campaign. Still, I’d go with Biedrins. He’s obviously going to hurt your FT percentage, but he won’t shoot enough to completely kill you in that cat. He’s a huge help in FG%, is a better rebounder than Kaman and also has big block potential – probably the rarest fantasy basketball cat. And like I said, he’s so young, there’s a chance a huge break out occurs. And it’s always a plus to side with the team that’s so much more up-tempo, leading to many more possessions (on both sides of the court) and therefore, more chances to rack up stats.
Tell Winny I said hi.
