what is your forecast for sandoval? He is very interesting, not much to go on, but big potential.

I like him. Sandoval doesn’t walk enough to maintain last year’s high BA, but it’s not like he Ks a ton either. He won’t hit a bunch of homers, but batting third in the lineup helps. It’s true tho, not much to go on. However, he crushed the VWL, leading the league with a .396 average and a .677 slugging percentage, so big things could be in store.

Nice. I’d even consider Soto over Martin and Wieters over Ianetta if he were going to be up on day 1 (actually, at that point, I’d consider Wieters over Martin from all the hype).

I would agree Nat, Soto for sure over Martin. Sandavol is fun to watch and plays hard but he needs to improve at third base in order to be in the starting lineup especially with talks of Crede coming to town.

I have no problem with Soto over Martin. Like I said, I’m worried about Martin’s crazy workload. If Crede comes to SF, which appears less likely with the Aurilia signing, I’d just assume they’d move Sandoval to first base.

The problem is that Sandavol may not be an everyday player if that is the case. Sandavol may have to sit for Travis Something, Richie, Bowker, and maybe Nate Schier.

Well the SF papers claim a Crede deal is unlikely after Aurilia was re-signed, and while I wouldn’t put it past Bochy, it would be silly to play any of those inferior players over Sandoval. He could also catch every now and then as well.
