What about Santana moss? you think he’ll play, i’m guessing no, but if he does, where would you slot him? or did you leave him out regardless?

My back up options this week, are not too promising, Mike Furrey will probably be the guy, I know calvin johnson should play this week, but will his injury limit his targets? possibly leaving more available for furrey?

It’s either him, Burleson, or to the waivers I go for this week, if santana doesnt play for my WR2.

No no my fault, I meant to put S. Moss on that list at the end – I was assuming he won’t play, which I highly doubt he will (I bumped Randle El up some).

Burleson is so hit and miss. Targeted 12 times two weeks ago and just twice last week. I’d play Furrey (I easily could have put him in that last tier) – Detroit throws the ball 50 times a game and like you said, Calvin could easily be limited. His matchup is a little easier than Seattle’s as well. I say Furrey.

Also, hope all of you heeded my advice and stashed Selvin Young. Looks like Travis Henry is done for.

I think I’m going to lose my shit…held on to Selvin as long as I could, until byes and injuries hit and I dumped him. Looks like I should have dumped someone else instead…damnit.

I’m not too happy either…I drafted Henry in a couple of leagues…I actually have Selvin in more leagues than I do Henry, but this still leaves more in doubt and also I no longer have a clear backup to the Denver back. He has looked good in his limited action, though.

Maybe Henry will win his lawsuit against the NFL!

Oh man. First mjd. then mcnabb. then evans. I have had enough bad luck this year. My 1-3 record was also helped by two losses by 3 points. Now T Henry. This is a joke. I dont have selvin, but have Bell and Sapp (now that is desperation).
Do not expect many more comments from me. My year is over.
    Go sox!

I drafted Bell in several leagues. Mike Shanahan is Satan…he probably sold Henry the pot.

On another note, do you still think MJD is a decent buy-low guy?

With Wynn looking likely to get the start in GB (though obviously losing touches to Morency), do you think he’s a decent flex (especially since he should get the goal line work)? With a good game, he could probably seize lead-back duties, right?

I grabbed Norwood off the wire, I just hope Atlanta pulls their collective heads out of their arses and make him a lead back sooner rather than later.

I grabbed Stecker too, but I’m really worried he’s not going to touch the ball much in NO. I hate you Selvin. If Calvin Johnson doesn’t play this week, I’m going to need another 40 points from Romo, with 2 TD’s going to Witten just to save face. Yuck. Go D’backs and Injuns!

Donald – Don’t give up – H2H formats mean anything can happen, and 1-3 isn’t the end of the world. MJD, McNabb and Evans all should bounce back. Henry, on the other hand, wow – are you kidding me?! Good luck paying child support for nine kids now bro.

Keith – haha, good call, Shanahan is probably Henry’s dealer…Yes, I still consider MJD a good buy low – he’s received more carries in each game this year, and KC’s run defense is their weak spot (terrific pass defense tho), so maybe this is the week he breaks out. It’s not just about opportunity – the guy is awesome – he’s going to break a big play eventually.

Honestly, I’m not really that high on Wynn. He’s not a bad flex play this week, but he hasn’t shown much except for a long run in garbage time a few weeks back. Morency will get more and more involved and the run blocking is terrible in GB. Plus, the brass considers B. Jackson the long-term answer at that position. Then again, stranger things have happened, and like you said, he does look like the goal line guy.

Petrino keeps saying he’s going to get Norwood more involved, and Dunn is an injury waiting to happen at this stage of his career…

Ya, I’m curious to see Stecker’s workload – the problem with him is that he’s very similar to Bush. Also, I’d be surprised if Bush can handle 20-25 carriers per game. He’s an absolutely brutal short-yardage runner.

Romo’s over/under this week is 35 fantasy points.

Postseason baseball is a joke…I like the wild card and all, but if we really want to have the best teams win the WS, they need to have fewer teams make the playoffs or make the October series’ like 20 games long or something.

The Wild Card is great for the regular season, and absolutely terrible for the post season. There is actually a negative correlation with winning the division vs. winning the wild card. Home field advantage doesn’t matter as much in baseball, and a 5 game series means nothing. Heck, the A’s had a winning percentage against the AL playoff teams. Tampa Bay routinely beats the BoSox. In a short series, anything can (and often does) happen.

Totally agree. I do like the wild card in the regular season for selfish reasons, but ultimately, the game suffers.

If you need a 162 game sample to determine who are the best teams in baseball, one would think a 5-game sample isn’t sufficient to determine a playoff series.

I want play Chad Pennington or Trent Edwards.

Well Fat Toad, er, Hideki, I’d go Pennington. Edwards looked great last week, but it’s still just his second career start one month into his rookie season. The Bills figure to have to pass a lot to keep up with Dallas’ offense, but it’s a Cowboys secondary that’s improved week-by-week, albeit one missing NFL INT leader Anthony Henry.

Pennington is solid and has two elite WRs to throw to. Plus, the Giants’ secondary sucks (although if the D-line plays like last week, that will be moot).
