Announcers in all sports are terrible — and getting worse. Last night, Tim McCarver made a big deal about the Red Sox leading in only 4 of the 37 innings played so far in the DET/BOS series. The stat is kind of interesting UNLESS you take into account that 14 of those innings were of the 0-0 variety where no team was leading.
Did he mention that? Nope. Of course not.

McCarver is TERRIBLE. But you’re right. Pretty much all of them are these days.
