Yahoo Friends & Family

Here are the results of the recent Yahoo Friends & Family draft. And more importantly, the subsequent Q&A. I’m not overly excited with my team, to be honest, but worse yet, despite me sending in an updated picture, I’m still left with the awful goatee version. Regardless, this is an industry draft I definitely feel is worth checking out.

I really liked your draft in the Rotowire league yet Beanie has to be a reach. Dude would have to reach get something like 1,200 yards, 12 TDs, at least, to rationalize picking him in the 2nd. I doubt the Arizona offense ends up more than 20th in scoring behind one of the worst, if not the worst, QB situations in the league. A solid schedule against the AFC West and NFC West does help Beanie out though.

When was the draft? Sidney Rice in the 3rd?!?!

As a Niner fan I must ask the question… how painful is it to roster 3 Raiders?

Andrew – I hear you regarding Beanie. In hindsight, I bet Grant (even in .75 PPR format) goes higher than him in most leagues, so I was happy to get the latter in the third round. Love Beanie’s talent, but not only is Whisenhunt (meaning Hightower) a major issue, but ya, the fact Leinart apparently sucks even more so than I realized, that offense is going to take a huge step backward. Believe me, I’m not overly confident in him (nor Michael Bush that early, but I am happy I secured McFadden as well much later).

The draft was two Wednesdays ago (the 18th) – ya, that was a stretch even then with his injury concerns. Ouch.

Honestly, I don’t mind taking Raiders (or even Dodgers in baseball, which is even worse). I’m crazy like that when it comes to my fantasy teams – all outside allegiances are thrown out the window completely.
