Awful, awful deal for Arizona. Great news for Giants fans. What was Arizona thinking? Don't forget they also threw in their 2008 first round pick too.

devinthedude - Got to love gambling. I have a really bad week, yet the two games you have called me out for I won (and both fairly easily). Funny stuff. Good call with Denver by the way. Backing KC is a miserable experience. Same with Houston. Losing Schaub for a quarter didn't help and was unpredictable, but that team is as soft as it gets.

By the way, addressing your "floor" and "ceiling" comment, I actually agree with you. It's like predicting when a slump or hot streak will end with a baseball player. Of course, the right strategy is just to assume his career norm will happen during his next game. I know why you think I went that way this week, but there was more to it (I'd say this if I had lost both of the games in question), and while it's terribly anecdotal, picking football ATS is definitely an inexact science. I.E., there's a "feel" to it (something I haven't excelled at this year).

The Giants may have just been a "hunch" for me this week, but Minny (while a very, very good team), was laying four points on the road to a legit Cardinals team. That's like them being 10-point favorites at home. That spread was assuming people would continue to ride Minny, as just like NE two years ago, Vegas will point-enforce teams that have been cleaning house over the first 10 weeks of the year.

When are you going to learn, you cannot give a team an artificial floor! One of the biggest mistakes that gamblers make is giving a team a floor or a ceiling, picking them before they happen simply cannot be done. It is the recipe of a loser. Yet, you picked the Giants today. The Giants have done absolutely nothing in the last two months, except beat a suspect Atlanta team (and almost blew their big lead in that). Their defensive changes this week better help, because the only way I see the Giants prevailing is in a defensive battle. When are you going to learn, you cannot give a team an artificial ceiling! The Vikings roll ATS week after week and rarely has a team with one loss had so much to play for this late in the season. It burned you last week with the Saints, and you have been on the losing end of the Vikings for several weeks now. Also the Broncos got the blueprint for a big win against the Chiefs. Unless KC scores a defensive or special teams TD the Broncos will cover. I do not like the Jags much this week, but Houston should not be a BB, they have been in a death spiral the last two weeks, and the two games they should have won will be weighing heavily on them.

Walt Weiss - Tough call b/c there's really no knowing how much Bush's knee injury will affect him or how Cleveland will dole out the carries. SD's front seven is ravaged by injuries, so despite the huge difference in offenses, I guess I'd gamble with Jennings over Bush.

I swear, I don't hate the Saints. I hope they go undefeated. Seems like a trap game this week tho, and that offense is different outdoors. Washington usually keeps things close. But as you know, I'm always wrong on New Orleans this year. I just know as soon as I switch, they won't cover.

Yo, who are you liking more Reggie Bush or Chris Jennings?

And what do the Saints have to do? They beat up on the Patriots, and you're picking the team that lost to the Lions?

I'd go with Charles for sure, and then it's close. Forsett would be a no-brainer if Jones was still out, but as is (and 49ers defend run well), I'd probably lean toward P. Thomas. But then again, he shares touches, whereas Cartwright might not.

Ugh. I'll say Charles and Cartwright. Basically, my advice is Charles and then go with your own gut.

Hey Dalton,
I need your help in picking 2 RB to start. Who should I pick from: Justin Forsett, Jamaal Charles, Rock Cartwright, and Pierre Thomas? Thanks.
