Last week I went 7-6, bringing my season record to 63-65-1. It was disappointing since I felt confident with my picks and had another potentially big week go down the drain with two more losses in the primetime games. I also dropped my best bet, leaving me 4-4-1 there on the year. I’m especially hopeful of a good showing this week, since I’ll be in Vegas and will no doubt be putting some money where my mouth is.
Bears +3 at 49ers
Falcons -1.5 at PANTHERS
BUCCANEERS +10 at Dolphins
LIONS +16.5 at Vikings
Jaguars +7 at JETS (Best Bet)
BENGALS +7 at Steelers
SAINTS -14 at Rams
Bills +6.5 at TITANS
BRONCOS -4 at Redskins
Chiefs +2 at RAIDERS
SEAHAWKS +9 at Cardinals
Cowboys – 3 at PACKERS
EAGLES +2 at Chargers
Patriots +3 at COLTS
RAVENS -11 at Browns
Comments: Jets are coming off a bye and get a warm weather team that struggles on the road and has to travel to New York. Back gang green.
Hey Dalton, I have a trade question to ask you. I own two te’s in Tony Gonzalez and John Carlson. Initially I thought trading Gonzalez if I fell in the standings would be an easy decision to make, but as you noted Carlson is a huge disappointment, although I own him in my dynasty.
Do you think trading Gonzalez makes sense, and if you do, do you think I can get Anthony Gonzalez? His owner is interested and that’s his best young WR other than Crabtree and Hester.
Against an insurgent Rams team that seems to have no quit in it, the Saints are generously offering 14 points to the home team. Still, I’m liking that pick. It appears that this week you actually thought about things before making your selections. The Saints are an every week Master Lock.
matt – The one worry I have about A. Gonzlez’s future is A. Collie’s emergence. And Peyton Manning absolutely loves him. It could be a big problem for A. Gonzo down the road.
Any other WR you can get for Tony G? I’m all for dealing him in your situation. No way he’ll give you Crabtree, right?
And sorry for the slow response – was out of town.
Walt Weiss – Ha ha. Go Nawlins!
Still working out a deal with Tony Gonzalez.
I declined an offer from Malcom Floyd. Same owner then offered me Maroney/Austin for Gonzalez/MB3….I will decline this. However, he has Ray Rice.
Is Ray Rice/Miles Austin or Steve Smith (NYG) for Gonzo/Barber a good move for me? I just don’t know. Barber’s been awful.
I also offered someone Barber for JStew but that will get rejected.
for Malcom Floyd*
Wow I didnt get to look at your picks earlier in the week but I disagreed with you on 8 games this week Bears, Vikings, Rams, Redskins, Cardinals, Cowboys, Chargers, and Pats are who I had. Looks like I was 6-2 against you. Finally I got a best bet (Pats) to come through for me. I have a feeling I am going to have several different this week too, as there are several pretty big lines. Let me know when you have your picks, I started early this week and have all 12 games picked that have lines, I am having a little difficulty in picking my BB, but I think I’ve got it, although I would like to hear your take on the two bets ( Pitt v. K.C. and Wash. v. Dallas).
matt – I’d def. do that Rice deal. He seems like the #3 fantasy player to me. And if you can also get Austin (or S. Smith) as well, that seems like a no-brainer.
devinthedude – I haven’t even looked at the spreads yet, but I will tonight. Expect me to post them either Wed or by Thursday at the latest. And you gotta bring it before the fact, don’t come hyping your picks on a Monday! puhlease.
U knew about 3 of em buddy and I was 2-1 i can resend you the texts if you like….
