YIKES! Has Schaub truly fallen below the likes of Campbell, Edwards and Hill in your eyes, or is that an oversight? Regardless, considering how terribly Roethlisberger just gashed the Titans, I’m ok with rolling the dice on a bounceback.

It is official. You hate Leon Washington.

Shouldn’t there be more fantasy love for Laurence Maroney? Last year, Patriots running backs totaled 2,500 yards and 19 tds, and that was split between four backs. As the better and younger half of a duo with Fred Taylor, I would think Maroney should be considered a great sleeper for this year.

Dreamweapon – I meant to put Schaub in there, but it would have been in the last tier. The Titans’ secondary allowed just 6.0 YPA with a 12:20 TD:INT ratio last season, so I don’t like this matchup at all. Schaub has thrown just one TD over four career games against Tenn, who even had 10 full days to prepare for this one. Still, I’m not overly down on Schaun long-term, just don’t like this week’s start at all.

Donald – I like Leon Washington! I promise my future weekly rankings will reflect this. And N.E.’s front seven did get ran on last week.

I’m actually with you regarding Maroney (although not this week). He looked good to open the game last week. And Sammy Morris may be turned into a fullback. It’s just such a committee right now, and ironically, Fred Taylor is now all of a sudden a goal-line back. Still, Taylor is way too old, and when he breaks down, Maroney could easily be a really nice play.

I hear ya, but I’m having a hell of a time getting past that 363 Roethlisberger just blasted Tennessee for. Of course, Pittsburgh’s running game is a very unfunny joke at this point so maybe it was just a matter of using what tools were available, whereas Slaton stands a far better chance of controlling the game and taking away attempts from Schaub. It’s a hard one. I have Hasselbeck in the RSI league as well, and I’m kind of torn….SF just kept Arizona’s aerial game in check and Seattle isn’t in their class. I’m probably putting too much stock in the first week, classic mistake though it may be.

Speaking of NE’s run defense, that’s another one where I don’t know what to believe. Jones had like a yard at the half last week, but I was watching a bit of that game and he actually liked pretty good to me in the 2nd half, I didn’t get the sense it was all blocking or luck or anything like that. So on the one hand, this guy just put up a hundo and two scores in a half last week, and now faces NE, which kind of got slapped around a bit by a very, very underwhelming Buffalo line. Don’t I almost have to start TJ over a guy like Sproles, given that Baltimore is still Baltimore? God I hate these early weeks, it’s so hard to find a rhythm, I’m forever second-guessing myself. It’d be a ballsy move to run Sproles over Jones, but I’m not sure I’m up to it. Argh, I just don’t know.

Maybe I’m the one putting too much stock into one week, but I’d easily go Hasselbeck over Schaub this week. It’s true tho, S. Holmes kind of torched Finnegan in the opener. I really hope you’re right, b/c I have to roll with Schaub in the Yahoo Friends & Family league this week.

Despite the discrepancy in my rankings, I certainly wouldn’t fault you for going with T. Jones over Sproles.

ARGGGH, I knew I should’ve started Schaub! Alas, I lacked the courage of my convictions. 😛

Well, it’s official: I love Dallas Clark. Speaking of, seems it’s more him than Wayne benefiting from Gonzalez’s loss, but I guess it’s just one game.

How relieved do Ronnie Brown owners have to be right now? I’ve loved the guy’s prospects since last Winter, but I’ll admit I was a little worried after Week 1 as well. Too bad they can’t play the Colts 16 games a year, and I know he’ll invariably get stuck with some 15-touch affairs along the way, but this is the same guy who had totaled close to a thousand combined yards in mere six and change in ’07, including an awesome six catches a game at 10.0 yards per. And that’s actually the most stunning thing about his night to me: that he racked up the excellent line without the benefit of a single catch. He’s back healthy, he looks strong. Even assuming he continues losing carries to Ricky, if he can supplement it with receptions and the odd pass here or there, he’s going to have a shot at some first-round numbers. Or, well, that’s what I’m hoping for.

Finally, is Manningham for real, because the production so far looks like a fine excuse to blow a #1 waiver priority and cut Chris Henry in order to pick him up as a WR3. WWDDDD?

Agree that Dallas Clark looks like the biggest beneficiary. Could be the #1 fantasy TE this year, really.

I love Ronnie Brown. I just worry about all the touches they are giving to Ricky Williams. That big game from Brown took nearly 50 rushing attempts by Miami. Maybe Williams will get hurt tho at his age. And I have no clue why they don’t throw it to Brown like they used to.

Yes, I’d use a #1 waiver priority and cut C. Henry for Manningham.
