Slaton not getting goal line carries worries me quite a bit.

In my PPR league that I had autodraft, I offered Ryan Grant + Antonio Bryant for Kevin Smith (I have Anthony Gonzalez to slide in at my WR3)…think that’s reasonable?

But again, this Stewart injury stems from his foot problem dating all the way back to his college days and it’s going to end up costing him all of OTAs and the preseason. It could pop at any moment. I really could see taking DeAngelo #3.

I actually have no problem with someone taking DeAngelo #3 overall, mainly b/c J. Stewart’s Achilles appears to be a serious problem. If Stewart weren’t in the picture, DeAngelo would have to strongly be considered at #1. In fact, I’d probably put him there. He’s that good. And O-line is solid in CAR too.

However, he doesn’t catch many balls, and if Stewart does return to health, he’s also very skilled, so he’ll take a bunch of carries and most importantly, probably most of the goal line work. What the Panthers did last year running the ball with two backs like that is simply unsustainable.

Where is the love for DeAngelo Williams? It seems to me that his upside is second to none, and sure he is i a time share, but in that timeshare last year was what, the #1 guy? I would put him #3 overall.

Good question regarding the SPs, as it seems Jackson is wearing down, while Buchholz actually looked good tonight. Still, the latter really hasn’t shown much (my disappointment) up until tonight. So I’ll go with Jackson.

Hmm good question about the “big four” WRs. I’d be willing to take Calvin Johnson very high – I might even call him #3 on my board. But as for the other three wideouts, I’d probably take any of the backs in tier two (my top 10) over them, but any of the other three WRs over any backs in my tier 3. Of course, if you take one back at the wheel, changing that strategy and then taking a WR might make more sense too.

My Pierre Thomas downgrade is a direct result of him spraining his MCL. If not for that, he’d be ranked #14. If you are willing to take on some risk (and the injury does seem relatively minor), you have my blessing to view him as such (#14). You should be thinking long-term anyway, but any “knee sprain” can’t be ignored.

Yes, I’d still take Bush ahead of Rice and or Lynch in a non-PPR format, although my ranking tried to be in between there. However, I wouldn’t blame anyone for avoiding Bush altogether, b/c I recognize the very real injury risk involved. But I actually think his overratedness in real football has kind of translated into underratedness in fantasy. If Lynch’s suspension were reduced two games, then yes, I’d prob jump him above those. But that isn’t going to happen.

I’d avoid L. White And J. Lewis at all costs.

Also, in a standard format, where is your personal cutoff as far as RBs vs. the top-4 “elite” WRs this year. E.g., hypothetically speaking, say you picked 12th and got Slaton. Gore and Westbrook are sitting there for the taking at 13, but do you take one of them, or pass for, say, one of the Johnsons or Moss?

I’m a little confused, though, because it seems like you’ve really soured on Pierre Thomas overnight–just from the sound of it earlier, I never imagined he’d be behind the likes of Grant, McFadden or Portis, certainly, and I half expected to see him in that second tier. Is this a direct by-product of renewed faith in Bush, or are other factors at work? And would you take Bush ahead of Rice or Lynch in a standard format (non-ppr)? What if Lynch’s appeal gets his suspension reduced to a single game? Would he jump ahead of Bush and Wells?

Love seeing that perversely overrated porker LenWhale so low. The only thing that guy fears more than a solid workout are the Japanese and Norwegian commercial fleets. Ditto Lewis, I took that ride back in his first post-incarceration year and will never be boarding it again.
