I agree about Holliday accepting arbitration hardly being a terrible thing for the A's, and I may be underselling him a bit. And really, who would have thought the market would crash like this at the time?

Yeah, the Giants have been a pleasant surprise, but I don't give them much of a chance of winning the wild card.

I wish I could disagree on the Holliday trade...but it's not looking so hot right now. In general, I really wanted the A's let Street recover some value because I definitely thought once he got healthy, he would show dominance like he is now. Fortunately, I'm still not necessarily sold on CarGonz has a future stud, but he still had a lot of value at the time. I really don't think Holliday is worth moving though unless you can get an A-type prospect in return though. I'm convinced Holliday will get better, and if he accepts arby next year, it's not the worst thing in the world as the A's have a lot of payroll coming off the books, and they still have a terrible offense. I'm really bummed about Outman going on the DL, he was really starting to break out and look better than the more highly regarded A's prospects. Fortunately Mazzaro has looked good, but it's been a bummer of a season across the bay. I have no idea why your Giants are doing so well.

Yeah, that's rough with the pessimistic outlook on Peavy now.

I've stashed Bailey in one, and started him in the other. Time to roll the dice.
I am a little frustrated that I held Nolasco all year, and then ditched him before his Boston start for JP Howel and Peavy. Sure, I can use the rp, but I do not think Peavy is coming back, and Nolasco looks legit.
