That McLouth trade was unreal for the braves. He is locked up for 2.5 more years, is in his prime, and while his D may be over rated, a 25-25 guy is no slouch. To not give up a stud minor leaguer makes me think that pirates got a raw deal, and makes me question their GM. regardless if McCutchen is ready, you can't just give up Nate for nothing. Also, where were the Mets on this? Sleeping at the wheel as usual. If Nate were Dominican, they would have been all over it.

Cruz has been a godsend, and is now batting fourth, although Hamilton's absence might hurt. I prey he keeps it up.

Great analysis of the park factor info, thanks for sharing.

I agree P Hughes gets back in the rotation. Put a fork in Wang.

Sure, it may be a little counter intuitive, but I think people should be more open to thinking about selling low and buying high, assuming you can make the call correctly. At the end of April, I traded D Wright over the fear that Metco was going to be a real power sap, and got Youkiliss and Fuentes in return. My leaguemates were all over me about selling low. Yeah, I was pretty sure Youk was not going to bat .400 all year, but it seemed like a reasonable time to sell low/buy high. That trade aside, people seem to dismiss the tactic altogether.
