I should point out I’m going to try not to overlap guys who qualify at multiple positions – I’ll just go by what position they have played most. But you’re right about Branyan and 3rd base.

Pena and Howard aren’t too different, but Howard has been more durable, and he did post a monster 58-HR, 148-RBI season a couple years ago.

But and this is a big one, Branyan has 3b eligibility almost everywhere. The flexibility boosts him.

And really, how different are Pena and Howard?

Aaron – Interesting I figured most would say that’s too low for Howard. As for Branyan, I’ve always thought he should get a chance at regular PT, but with all those Ks, a huge BA crash is likely in store. And that lineup hurts him too – 19 homers yet just 38 RBI.

Donald – I could see moving Berkman and Pena up one tier and starting the next one with Konerko. Pena has legitimate 45-homer power. But that BA is a drain.

At this point I feel like Youk and Howard are too high, as I really don’t see the difference between them and Votto and Adrian/Pena going forward. Pena is definately too low, as, likely, is Branyan, strange as that is to say.

As a Pena owner, I cannot accept his tier. While Yahoo has him currently ranked between Tex and Andrian, I refuse you placing him in the same tier as Konerko.
I do love that you are making some position by position lists, and think this is pretty much right on.
