Any team could win this division. Injuries have already hammered the Angels, and all it might take is a couple breakout or career seasons on any one of the 4 teams to take it. It's really disappointing for the A's to have to rush their prospects, but they really weren't left with much choice (though I'd just as soon see Gallagher in the rotation). I think getting bounceback years from Ellis and Buck would be huge, and not farfetched, and I'm really hoping that Sweeney can become more than just a singles hitter by adding a little pop.

Injuries will play a role in every division battle, but I think moreso in the AL West. If the Angels Angels of Anaheim get their pitching back quickly, and Vlad and Howie avoid extended trips to the DL, they should run away with it...but that's a lot of if's. I could just as easily see Chris Davis / Blalock / Hamilton / Cruz / Kinsler putting up absolutely monster offensive seasons and taking things. I'm confident about the improvements to the A's offense (how about that infield from last year!?!), but just hope they can be somewhat healthy (the Devine and Duscherererererer injuries were inevitable) and the arms keep them in the race to the end.

It would not be that crazy if Seattle contends. Terrible division. Good point about the A's and their second half surges. That rotation is crazy young.

Would it be crazy if the Mariners actually won the division? Felix is certainly capable of becoming the best pitcher in the division and if Bedard can give you 180 innings, Why not? The division is certainly putrid.
The usual 2nd half surge of the A's seems unlikely with all of their young arms. They will proabably tire out if they can some how maintain health in the first place.
Kritter your team is awful.

I'm impressed with your aggressiveness. Three trades already. Now that's active.
