I turned Mauer and Victorino into BJ Upton, so I'm pretty pleased with that since I now get to keep one more of those guys above.

Wow, thanks for the feedback...I guess the fact that the opinions vary speaks to the closeness of value.

I've got a couple weeks to work trades, but the league is pretty top-heavy, so it's hard to get a top-30 guy back (I gave up Hart, Kershaw and Price to get Beltran).

Youth/upside has me leaning towards Davis, plus Drew for positional scarcity (I feel you Dreamweapon - heredity scares me), and then I really want to keep Gallardo, but feel McLouth is worth the most (especially since he has a good BB rate, which helps in our league - but I do worry that was his career year).

Hopefully I can find a trade partner, but I appreciate the input...and damn am I ready for the season to start!

I side with Davis, Drew & Gallard.

Easier to get back or replace Victorino or McLouth IMO.

I'd probably do Davis. I know SS is a premium position and all but I just can't get past the fact that Drew is, well, a Drew. The first two were bum steers, and however you look it (genetics/heredity says he's probably fragile, upbringing/environment says he was likely raised to be a pussy), there is reason to be cautious. McLouth just seems like he played over his head a bit and may have already had his career year. Gallardo is tempting, but all else being equal, you almost have to take the bat over the arm if their more or less equivalent in value. Can't you find some weak team with bad options and pool a few of these guys together for a Top-30 type?

I side with Tyler Durden on this one. Those were some pretty good offers - but I can't imagine doing Johan for Upton, but maybe that's just me.

I'm torn on my last couple keeper spots. We keep 10, and it's a 6x6 league with BB's as a category for hitters.

Chris Davis (eligible at 3B)
Shane Victorino
Nate McLouth
Stephen Drew
Yovani Gallardo

As of right now, I've only got 3 keeper spots left, and can't make up my mind. In case I can't work any trades, I'm not sure who to keep. Any thoughts?

Donald - Looks like Byrnes is the odd man out. He'll be an expensive 4th outfielder. That said, if Reynolds, Tracy or any of the 3 OFs get hurt, he'll get the PT since there's a lot of flexibility there. That's five who need to stay healthy to keep him in a bench role full time.

Randy - I agree with much of what Tyler Durden has said here. While I actually do agree with you now might be the right time to deal Santana, make sure you get plenty in return. If anyone values Anthony Reyes at all, I'd def have no qualms throwing him in a deal as well. Keep Bumgarner. Johan for J. Upton straight up really wouldn't be that crazy if you want a RF badly. Will he do that?

Dreamweapon - Pretty funny. That guy is a big believer in Huff! Basically, it seems he was trying to draft the best team with 2008 results.

I'd use the good old on the block -- "Joe Mauer for a young RF" -- when used right, on the blocks can bring deals to you. I would suspect Mauer on the block would bring people bearing offers.

Any RFs I like next year? Many, but gettable guys might include Rios, Ethier, Hawpe, Choo & Dukes

First trade scenario. Still think you are overpaying,. I play in plenty of dynasty keepers and Mauer alone could/should get Upton because of position scarcity.

It's fine to say 'he won't go for it' but then I'd find someone with a RF that would. Plenty of teams always need SP. If it is Upton you want, though, then go get your man as you won't be satisfied until you do.

Second: a lot of apples for apples in my book and I'd rather have best player in the deal -- Johan.

Randy -- Seems to me you are overpaying. Love Upton and Garza, but why offer Johan & Mauer? And do you need Garza? Why not simplify the offer?

I'd offer something like Cueto and Cahill or Bumgarner for Upton.

Seems like that would be a great deal for you and you are sending him some quality young arms. My opinion.

You discuss the crowded OF in WAS, but what do you think of the crowded outfield in AZ? Upton, Young, Jackson, Byrnes?

Can anyone take a look at this "expert's draft" over on ESPN.com and tell me how AJ Mass has a paying job doing this while millions of hard-working Americans are sitting at home unemployed?

http://sports.espn.go.com/fantasy/baseball/flb/story?page=mlbdk2k9febmockdraft

Honestly, hands-down worst draft I ever saw, expert or first-draft n00b.
