Wow. That’s some pretty serious Panther love. 🙂

How do you reconcile having Manning #1 and Rivers #4?

jdb – Ya, I’d say Carolina is the team most likely to play three games. Plus, their first game is tasty at home vs. ATL or Zona. (or Minny, which is also solid). Meanwhile, the GMen could get the Eagles immediately.

And good AFC teams like Tenn, Balt and Pitt – all lack upside on offense.

Robby – I’d personally avoid P. Manning – since he’ll require a very early pick and Indy could easily be one and done. However, there’s no denying his upside. He’s been on fire, and the Colts could easily win the Super Bowl as a Wild Card team.

As for Rivers, he’s been the best QB in the NFL this year, and Saturday’s game should be a shootout (Indy has only allowed 6 TD passes, but their YPA suggests that’s something of a fluke). Like the Colts, SD could easily be one and done. But SD does have potential, and two games from Rivers could easily outproduce three from Eli (or even Big Ben, for that matter).

If you have a strong SD feel this week, take Rivers No. 1. I guess it fundamentally doesn’t make sense having two QBs so closely ranked since one will lose this week, but at the same time, one is also guaranteed to win – drafting both of them makes for a solid strategy.
