Last week I went 7-9, bringing my season total to 82-73-5. I lost my best bet (Chiefs), which was especially frustrating for two reasons: 1) the way that game played out and 2) I basically flipped a coin between KC and Tennessee, and the Titans easily covered. I’m now 7-2-2 on the year. Not that it means much, but I do feel more comfortable with this week’s slate of games than I have in a while. I had a hard time coming up with a best bet, since I liked a few but loved none. I really like the Chiefs as home dogs against a bad Bills team traveling during a short week. I also felt better about backing the Falcons and Chargers. As for New England, I expect them to bounce back after a tough loss to the Jets, especially with 10 days to prepare. The Patriots will have revenge on their minds after the Dolphins embarrassed them in Week 3, and it’s never easy to win five straight games in the National Football League.
