Matt - That squad looks legit to me. I really like Rondo this year, and Farmar is a good sleeper as well. I'll def. start posting more hoops stuff soon. That's a promise.

Stevie C - I'm with you. I ranked Pennington higher, as that Denver D is baaad. Rodgers might be matchup-proof, but that Tenn secondary is very, very good.

Dalton - Not as confident as you are with some teams, but that's why I'm a faitful reader of your great blog....good luck with that. Feel free to post some of your draft picks!

I'd have to say my favorite team on paper is a 12-team league club that includes CP3/Boozer/D.Howard, who I traded D-Lee and Dunleavy for/R.Lewis/Artest/Crawford, as well as some long-shot hopefuls in Wilson Chandler and Kelenna, among others. I also have Rondo and Farmar.

We shall see. I always do well AFTER I screw up my drafts, via trade or watching the wire. I guess that's how I roll.

White is boom-or-bust since he relies solely on touchdowns. Basically, his ceiling is higher than maybe 10 guys I ranked in front of him, but also his floor is much lower. Green Bay hasn't been great against the run, so he may have another good game, but there's also a possibility of a goose egg with him.

I honestly think u are too low on LenDale White, yes he doesn't gain a lot of yards, but he gets the TD's at the goaline, which watching the Titans, they get to quite a bit. Seems to me he is always good for 12-18 points, which is what I look for in a RB these days since its more of a QB/WR league these days. What do u think about that assessment 3D?

Dreamweapon - Agree about Bowe. It's not a stretch to say he's a top-10 talent at WR. His situation destroys him. Like L. Evans last year. And I'm also totally with you on the bottom NFL teams - truly, truly atrocious.

QB is BY FAR the hardest position in sports to evaluate - look at where Tom Brady, Kurt Warner, Matt Hasselbeck and on and on were drafted. Who cares if JaMarcus Russell can throw 80 yards from his knees? Arm strength is a BONUS, but the No. 1/1A attributes are accuracy and decision making. No talent scout has any idea until these college guys actually get into NFL systems.

I would say that's a pretty decent WR corps you got there.

Walt Weiss - Kolby Smith is unusable against tough defenses like TB this week, but he needs to be held onto b/c I think there's a real chance LJ is done in KC. That said, I'm much higher on J. Charles, who has way more upside. It's still unclear how long the ankle will keep him out, but I'd personally still prefer Charles b/c he has big potential when he does return.

Chad - Like you said, in my mind, I'd wait until he actually does something. I'm not completely writing him off due to Bryant, but at his age, he better prove it first and odds are the decline is here.

Matt - I'd target Evans over S. Moss, if only for the fact Moss has a hamstring injury. No "minor" leg injuries with that guy, although it very well may turn out to be not a problem....If you can trade Romo/J. Lewis for Gore, I'd go make that happen immediately. Gore is No. 3 on my board right now, and he's closer to No. 1 than he is anything lower.

I drafted a really sick hoops team in my main home league. Unfair really. Yourself?

I weep for Dwayne (see how that's supposed to be spelled, Mrs. Wade?!) Bowe. I'm convinced he's easily a Top-10 receiver on physical talent, an absolute beast to tackle in the Boldin mold, but sweet jesus what a travesty the QB position is. He can't even get ranked over pronounced hit-or-miss guys like Ginn and Hester, and I can't even justifiably disagree. Can you tell me why Carl Peterson still has a job? He doesn't have Millen around anymore to use as a baseline reference. For all the obsession over parity, there are more genuinely horrific teams (KC, Det, Cin, everyone in the NFC West save Ari, and of course Oak) this year than at any point in recent memory. It's just shocking to me that, with all of the money flying around in the game, the big, advanced HS and college programs, and all the specialty coordinators and study and training techniques, the NFL simply cannot find more than ~25 humans capable of playing the quarterback position at its highest level. If the current system is such that the best some teams can really, actually, truly do is the likes of Thigpen (or Croyle), Orlovsky, Fitzpatrick and the like, than the NFL is simply going to have to expand its recruiting pool abroad or the sport is not going to be able to grow any further. These guys are a disgrace, I would completely understand of any of those teams' fans simply gave up on the game and spent more time with their families, or outdoors, on autumn Sundays. They've failed in Europe, because the competition runs far deeper than simply soccer, rugby and cricket, with basketball, track, bicycling, hockey and others all being far better developed competitors for young athletes' time. That isn't so much a problem in some of the former colonies, which the NFL has largely ignored. So. Africa, Australia, New Zealand and possibly even a couple of So. American countries all produce athletes who could potentially play QB at the highest level, if they had been brought up in the game and understood its nuances. I know it's a complex and expensive game, but there are large rugby bases in those countries, supporting international, transoceanic leagues (e.g. Super 14), so the possibility at least exists. I don't know what the league is doing, but I hope they're at least considering some kind of evangelical programs, b/c we need new blood, now.

Ok, enough rambling. What would you say if I told you that in one of my 3 leagues, a PPR points format in which you can run up to four WRs a week, I own three of your top 4 guys, with my fourth wide being White? Tee hee. Thanks for carrying AJ's flame, it's been a fun ride these last few weeks.

What do you think about Kolby Smith? He's impressed a lot of people in Kansas City, but he's yet to recapture the success he enjoyed in 2007 (albeit in limited time). Obviously, no one can fault him for failing to dominate top-ranked defenses, but if he doesn't improve his yards-per-carry, we could see the Chiefs reducing their reliance on him. How about Jaamal Charles -- does he really suffer from a high ankle sprain, or could we start seeing him on the occassional third down?

When does galloway re-enter the picture as a viable fantasy WR? Do we wait till he has a nice performance? Or has bryant's emergence minimized his value?

Hey Dalton - still trying to trade Romo. Would you target Santana Moss or Lee Evans as wide receivers, or maybe a package of Romo for Evans/R.Brown, Romo/J.Lewis for Gore...just tossin stuff out there.

My 14-team league roster is:
QB Warner, Schaub, Romo
RB - LT/Sproles, J.Lewis, M.Moore, Torain, Darren McFadden
WR - Roddy, Housh, Avery and L.Moore.

Thanks, did you draft well in your NBA leagues?
