Cause for concern: when your best wr is ranked no.23 by Dalton.
Where’s the Xanex?
It’s a long season. A lot can and will change.
It’s a long season and you can always trade.
I know, I know.
Would you co-sign these moves, because my Selvin Young offer for Ronnie Brown was turned down.
With LT as my top RB, drop Selvin for Sammy Morris; drop Chris Perry for Justin Gage. My wr’s are TJ, Roddy, Royal and V-Jack.
Thanks! I need to break out and win my first game.
I noticed you had a couple of sacks (Roy Williams and Chad Johnson) ranked in the top 100 WRs — what’s up with that? They suck so much.
At this point are you dropping laurence maroney to handcuff a top ten back like lynch or jacobs
matt – Since this week seems like a must-win and no Denver back can be counted on, I think I would roll the dice and grab S. Morris (no one else you can drop instead of S. Young?). Of course, it’s tough to believe any NE injury reports, but at least it SOUNDS like Jordan and Maroney aren’t playing.
Do NOT drop C. Perry for Gage. That Tenn team remains run-first, you already have good WR depth, and Perry could really improve once that schedule eases up.
Walt Weiss – I’m sure they’ll blow up this week, when you play me. My fantasy defense has been brutal this year. Luckily I score the most points each week in that league. My team balls.
Splevelbuge – I probably wouldn’t go that far, but honestly, I also wouldn’t blame you. It would seem to be safer if you own Lynch to have F. Jackson. The problem with Jacobs is that he basically has 2 handcuffs.
Bulger over Garrard and T-Pain….. “I can put you in a mansion way up in Wis-can-sin”
so, I’ve got Turner starting RB1, but just am not sure on who to start @ RB2. I’ve got LT but his comments combined with everyone else’s comments are killing me. I’ve got Sproles as well on the bench. I’ve also got Julius Jones with the killer matchup.
Your rankings have LT/Sproles up at 5, but I’m tempted with Jones vs. Rams to just play it safe and go with him rather than hope LT isn’t lying to me or that Sproles will come through…
Did I just call Julius Jones a safe option?
db – as much as it kills me to recommend Julius Jones, in this case, I agree – go with him over the uncertain SD situation. When I did these rankings, I was hoping it would become clearer by then, but it really hasn’t. I could see LT trying to gut it out only to take a seat like last week. I’d go with Turner and J. Jones.
I have a RB2 Spot and a W/R to fill out of the following:
W. McGahee
J. Cotchery
D. Bowe
A. Gonzalez
J. Stewart (I also get return yrds in this league, when he doesn’t get carries, it seems they have him returning)
Looking at your list, i’ve eliminated Bowe and Gonzalez.
I’m up against the top scorer thus far, so I’m thinking my priority would biggest upsdie.
I’d go with McGahee and Cotchery.
Can I bet on another bet on it before Sunday?
Absolutely. Will have that up tomorrow for sure. Been busier than I expected recently. That said, it’s a BRUTAL week ATS – I do not feel confident at all.
Late to the party, but Matt, 0-2 (or even 0-3) is hardly a death sentence, so keep the faith. My buddy Villatoro won my league last year despite starting 0-4, I shit you not (he had Brees and SJax, both of whom sucked horribly early). I hate, amongst others (in a 12-teamer, mind you), LT2, AD, Braylon, Boldin, Gates and Warner and still missed the playoffs by a half-game.
H2H is a bit of a bunk format. It’s the football standard and it’s often fun, but the ups and downs are severe–suffice it to say, if someone can pull out of an 0-4 nosedive, 0-2 is small beer. Just my $0.02.
“I hate”=I had….so drunk
I won a league once starting 0-4 as well. In a way, it’s more fun trading on a week-to-week, do-or-die basis toward the end of a year in which you are in constant must-wins.
Well I guess u were wrong about Ronnie Brown huh, wow, what a game. Im up 96-30 with Gates to play on Monday for me, he has Romo and Crayton playing for him now, and Coles tomorrow night, sounds like a 3-0 start for me, but unlike I did with the Raiders I won’t count my chickens before they hatch.
