Wow, I didn’t even know Jackson was on Denver now, I guess I’d better start filling in the gaps with just over two weeks until draft day.

I’m sorry to say I’d agree on Boldin. He’s actually one of my favorite players, he tries so damn hard when he’s on the field and doesn’t shy away from contact, at all, completely opposite to 95% of the league’s receivers. I still remember a play he had (I think against Carolina) where he caught a ten-yarder or so and positively smashed the opposing safety with a brilliant stiff-arm, grinding him into the turf before taking off upfield. He juked around some other defenders, which took enough time that the safety he had originally embarrassed had gotten back up and into the play again, and as he drew close to Boldin, ‘Quan AGAIN stiff-armed the same guy in the face. I don’t think I have ever see anything quite like it on a football field. Awesome stuff. I love the guy, but the situation just sucks this year. The Leinart bullshit (simply horrible….the fact that he was taken in the first round should in no way entitle him to a starting QB job….he may even be worse than the execrable David Carr, if that’s possible), the injuries, the contract disputes. Ugh. Having had Steve Smith last year, I never want another talented WR who is saddled with a horrible QB ever again. What can you do with him? You can’t sit him, you paid too much. You can’t deal him because his numbers are crap. So you just sit there and take it in the ass week in, week out because the franchise is wedded to a retard who had a decent college career in a high-octane college offense. If college passing stats meant anything, half the starting QBs in the NFL should be from Texas Tech or BYU.

Doing a little research here in my copious spare time….what do you think about Ray Rice as a later-round option?

I agree Boldin is a badass. Although he is also a bit injury-prone. Leinart looks bad, but David Carr? Now that’s a bold statement. Are you staying away from Larry Fitz then by this reasoning?

Love Ray Rice as a late round option. Never been a big fan of W. McGahee. I could see Rice outplaying him, to be honest. Great late upside pick.
