UNDEFEATED

By Dalton Del Don – Senior Writer

Tonight, I have Mayweather over Hatton in a unanimous decision. Something like 116-112. I’d like to see Hatton win, and his style (body puncher) is actually a perfect fit against Pretty Boy. However, Mayweather is just so much faster and possibly the best defensive boxer ever. Hatton is going to have to knock him out – he doesn’t stand a chance if it gets to the cards, which it almost certainly will. Mayweather in yet another, mostly boring, decision. Thoughts?

Yeah, it’s a little improbable, but I like Hatton in a 8th round KO. He might just be able to take the fight to Mayweather and put him on the defensive, and it’s been a while since Pretty Boy’s bell has been rung. The smart money goes the other way, but there’s just something in the air.

I have a worry Hatton’s going to get cut, and then it’s all over. But he’s very good on the inside – which is huge against Mayweather. He’ll also have the crowd on his side by a wide margin. Should be interesting…

I hope we’re wrong, but I agree with you, Dalton. Pretty boy in a decision.

It’s something to consider. I still wouldn’t go better than late 3rd rounder on him at the utmost….Sammy Morris frankly looked better than Maroney this season, and will be back and eating heavily into what totes are available.

It’s a good point Randy. Belichick loves to zig while everyone else zags. And I’m not ready to completely write Maroney off. That said, as Dreamweapon alludes to, you better make sure he comes at quite a discount – he just hasn’t been all that impressive even when getting the carries. But still, with secondaries worried about what will go down as maybe the best passing offense ever in 2007 next year, there could be a nice opportunity there, and maybe he’ll finally be 100 percent healthy.
