I’d put the chargers above the seahawks but below the vikings, the seahawks have no running game, and I feel that really hurts their chances in the playoffs.

also, my season may be coming to an end. after winning the last two games of the season with no QB (bulger/garcia hurt) and 3 empty spots on my roster, and I’ve already used all of my allowed roster moves, my season may come to an abrupt end. I had a bye last week with the number 1 seed. so still alive, and garcia should be a solid start, but now no reggie bush, and dante hall is done for the season, I basically need LT and TO to combine for 60pts to have a chance. I’m matched up in the playoffs against the ultimate brady/moss combo. (can you believe he was a 6 seed).

oh well, root for me this weekend, and go bolts.

On a neutral field, I think the Dolphins would be favored over the 49ers. I’m done with Nolan, especially when I’m going to have to watch the Pats turn the #2 pick into 6 future Pro Bowlers.

Since I think the A’s are going to go into re-building mode soon, I think I might have to promote the Warriors to my #1 team for the next couple years. I feel sick.

    1. Patriots should be alone on their own tier. Self-explanatory.

    2. Packers should be part of the 2nd tier, with Indy/Dallas. They were very, very close to winning at Dallas, on the road, without Favre. Barring some very questionable refereeing (ticky tack PI call, the BS “forward progress” on Harris’ strip of Owens), and an inexplicable bout of fumbilitis by James Jones against Chicago, we could easily be talking about an undefeated team here. Adding in a rushing game in Grant and the word that Favre’s injury isn’t that serious (not to mention the revelation that they may even have the best backup QB in the pro game) to a great WR corps and a very capable D, well, there is nothing to convince me that they couldn’t beat any other team in the league on any given Sunday. I don’t think I could say the same for Pittsburgh or Jax, although they aren’t that far behind.

Also, the Cardinals, Skins and Lions should all be demoted on principle.

The sad part for the Niners is they don’t even get that pick, who else but the FREAKING PATRIOTS get to choose in whatever top 5 pick the Whiners end up with, so not only are the Niners a terrible team, but they don’t have a pick to get better, AND they are letting the Pats off the hook on spygate. If the NFL really means their penalty, they will nullify that part of whatever horrid trade the Niners made with the Pats and give the Niners that pick back, but instead they will just take their late first rounder away, and the Pats will add some top prospect to their team, or worse, trade it to somebody for another stud for Tom Brady to throw to…

Chad – Out of the four factors — passing, running, defending the run, defending the pass — I’d rank running the ball the least important of the four. It’s all about net YPA. And Seattle’s defense is better than people think. They’ve become much more interesting since they realized Shaun Alexander sucks.

That said, the Vikings might be better, and SD would beat them at home and lose if played in Seattle. Hasselbeck is just so much better than Rivers.

I’ll root for you this weekend, and Garcia should actually put up solid #s, but that’s rough facing Brady and Moss vs. the Jets.

Keith – I would have agreed a few weeks ago, but Miami has been a special kind of awful recently. Shaun Hill made the difference for me! I think SF’s defense is better too.

It’s a terrible time to be a sports fan in the Bay Area – unbelievably bad.

Dreamweapon – 1. While I have numerous bets out saying NE is going undefeated this season, and they probably have the best offense ever, I’m not so sure Indy isn’t in their class.

Think about it – one of their losses came against SD in which Manning threw 6 INTs, they allowed two kickoff return TDs, and Vinatieri missed a 25-yard FG. The other game they had a late lead against NE without their starting left tackle, Marvin Harrison and A. Gonzalez.

Indy’s defense is unquestionably better, and ironically, homefield may actually hurt this Patirots squad in the playoffs, as their new finesse style doesn’t bode well in poor weather. The Colts are easily more physical, have a much better running game, and Manning is still equivalent to Brady. I still think NE is going 19-0, but Indy isn’t that far behind.

    2. I’ll totally buy your GB argument. Their D is better than Dallas’, and that passing game is legit. I’m fine with moving them up a tier in hindsight.

Kritter – It is crazy that the NFL took away the lower draft pick. And rest assured, NE will trade that likely No. 2 pick for a bunch of cheaper, more productive players.
