Looks like NFL.com edited (took out) my Michael Vick downgrade. That’s funny.

Adrian Peterson and Kolby Smith combine for less than 2 points in my first round match…why??? I can live with the Kolby Smith stinker, as he was a scrub…but Purple Jesus? As bad as my ‘9ers have sucked, I was finally looking forward to watching them suck, and they absolutely shut down the Best Runner in the History of the NFL (TM) while they let Chester Taylor break off an 85 yard TD? Oh, cruel world. If somebody had asked me what the odds are off AD not getting hurt and putting up less than 10 yards, I think I would have said something along the lines of 1 in a 1,000. The dude averaged 6.5 yards a carry! I’m sick.

I just lost a playoff game by exactly one point b/c J. Norwood caught a 50 yard pass and Roddy White was shut out in the second half.

And I feel your Peterson pain – he and T. Owens combined for 2 points in another league of mine (although I still won that one, thanks to my brilliant Anthony Gonzalez start).

Still, someone is going to get stabbed before this football season is over. I can’t handle it.

I think I’ve said this before, but Jamal Lewis actually averaged more YPC (the year he got 2,000 yards) when there were 8 men in the box than when there were fewer, which brought that C. Taylor 85-yard run Sunday to mind. Clearly, SF was selling out to stop the run, but once that RB gets past that first line of defense, the “safety” isn’t there in that setup. And unluckily for us, Taylor happened to get that carry when it occurred Sunday.

Seriously, I might be collecting bail money next weekend after I get knocked out of my money league (I had the bye as the #1 seed, but my roster is anything but stacked…it’s been the Romo-Witten combo that’s carried me, and it figures Witten would get 14 catches in a PPR league when I’m on bye).

Gore crushed 8-men fronts last year, which I think is why he led the league in 20+ yard runs, and AD’s power/speed combo is perfect for busting those kinds of long runs.

Kitna has probably his best real football game of the year, but of course has a sucky fantasy day because the RB’s got the TD’s (I of course had Kevin Jones on my team with the bye), and I still could have won if I’d started Jay Cutler instead, which I decided against only after flipping a coin. Lee Evans was on my bench too, of course.

I’m now looking forward to an impassioned rant about the “brilliant” Rowand signing. If this doesn’t get it’s own post, I’ll be very disappointed. Come on Matsui and Rios!

All good points, and I agree, nothing worse than watching your players ball while your on bye. They are now due for a letdown this week.

The Rowand talk is coming, don’t even worry about it….
