Jesse Chatman looks too high at #9 since Buffalo has been good against the run lately and has allowed only 1 TD to running backs in their last 5 games.

Buffalo’s D has played better of late, no doubt, but I expect Chatman to be heavily involved in the passing game as well.

You have Benson way down at #23 this week but he is facing Oakland who have allowed the most rushing TDs in the league this year. I know Benson has not been that good this year but with him being fresh off a bye week, I bet he will put up better numbers than Chatman.

Paul, I live in Chicago and will totally bet you $20 that Chatman outperforms Benson this weekend. Standard scoring–1 pt per 10 yards rushing or receiving, 6 pts TD (1 pt per 25 yards passing on that off chance); 2pt conversions of any type count as 2, and minus two (-2) for fumbles lost, or interceptions thrown, on the off chance, again. What do you say? Benson is softer than the Pillsbury Doughboy, I think gambling on a no-heart clown like him is a sucker’s bet, and I totally won’t fault you for backing away, but if you really have that much faith in him and truly wanna bet, I will take that action. You can email me at baxmobile AT yahoo as well if you want.

Triple-D, assuming the rest of my lineup is stacked with LT/AD/Lynch/Braylon/Boldin/Gates anyway, who do you see as being the “safer” pick between Bulger and Warner? I’m leaning Bulger (Boldin’s presence and the fear of a double implosion having some bearing on the decision so far)….but the Liedowns pass D is so bad I could easily be persuaded elsewise…..

I have Jackson, Gore, Morris and Priest for one spot this week.. how would you rank them? Assume alexander doesn’t play.

also, how would you rank them from this point on for the rest of the season?

Ranking Benson this week was tough – the proverbial movable object versus the resistible force. No doubt, the Raiders run D is horrific – Warren Sapp is by far the worst defender against the run in the league right now (although ironically, still a better than average pass rusher). But there’s rumblings in Chicago that Adrian Peterson (the other one) might get a lot more work this week. I understand your reasoning, but I refused to rank such a scrub any higher than that.

Dreamweapon – Were you being serious? Your team has LT, AD, Lynch, Braylon, Boldin and Gates? That’s ridiculous. If you don’t win the league, it’s only b/c H2H is screwy at times. Anyway, I see your concerns since you have Boldin as well, but I’d still lean toward Warner. It’s close, so I don’t feel strongly enough to sway you, but that Rams team has been brutal (I do expect the bye week to help, and they should have to pass a lot to keep up with N.O.), and the Cardinals are at home instead of on the road. Zona’s played @Wash, BYE, @TB the last three weeks, so while it seems Warner hasn’t been good in ages, there’s a legitimate reason why. I like his weapons better, and that’s the route I’d go.

Brett – Sorry man, I know I owe you an e-mail. Totally my bad. Anyway, 1)S. Jackson 2)Mo Morris 3)Gore (I’m worried he’ll be limited even if he does play) and 4)Holmes.

    Long-term: 1)Jackson 2)Gore 3)Morris 4)Holmes

That’s not to say Holmes won’t have value, but trust me, his upside is very limited at this stage of his career and in that offense. On the other hand, I actually think Morris has serious sleeper potential – he could end up being a difference maker.

Haha, yeah, I feel pretty good, bar the QB situation. I drafted LT (1), AD (5) and Boldin (4), but the other guys I got in trade. The Braylon one, involving Jacobs, you know. I dealt Big Ben and Cooley for Gates (sketchy now), and then somehow managed to deal Steve Smith, Mason, Kenny Watson and Kellen Clemens for Lynch and Bulger, and that’s where I’m at now.

Comically, it wasn’t THAT trade that caused a ruckus, but the currently pending deals actually offered TO ME by others involving Harrison for Priest (waiver pickup this week) and Ryan Grant for Chris Henry that have a couple of ppl pissed…..I’m all like, whatever, veto them, I don’t even care, I will never start those guys, you should have been vetoing the Lynch deal. I still like that Gates deal, although Big Ben is obviously blowing up. But ya, that team is stacked.

Hey Dreamweapon, it looks like I should have agreed to your proposed bet. It was close but according to your scoring system, Benson outscored Chatman 15 to 14.
