It would be better if your picture wasn’t plastered everywhere…you lose credibility.

Just messin…the heat comes with becoming a 3-sport fantasy blogging superstar.

I do like Gay as a huge sleeper this year. Where abouts do you see him as good value? I managed to steal Deron Williams very late in a lot of drafts last year, but I know I’ll have to grab Gay earlier. Are there any PG’s you see as on the verge of having a D.Williams-type breakout? Rondo?

The funny part about that picture is that I’ve had facial hair probably one week of my entire life – and that just happened to be the only picture I had of me on my comp.

Anyway, I’d target Gay around the eighth round, but those types of things are tough to predict from league to league. With a former Phoenix coach now running the show, I expect Memphis to be very fantasy friendly. A SG that gets 1 block per game? Quite rare. He balled during summer league play and is definitely a candidate to really break out this year.

I like Rondo, don’t get me wrong, but I’m not expecting Deron Williams type numbers from him – he should be a huge help in assists and is almost certain to finish top-5 in steals, but I doubt he’ll score more than 10-12 ppg, and he’ll be a drain on both percentages.

Other PGs I’d target: Randy Foye, Mike Conley Jr., Devin Harris, Jamaal Tinsley – ya he’s always hurt but the new uptempo offense there should really help him when he’s on the court, and here’s a deeper sleeper – Jose Calderon. He’s the Larry Johnson type backup of fantasy basketball. In 21 mpg last season, the dude had more apg than Mike Bibby, and TJ Ford is injury-prone. Plus, he’s a PG who shoots better than 50 percent from the field. Def. a sleeper.

    1)Calderon
    2)Williams
    3)Turiaf

LA has too many big men for Turiaf to have much value, and I just talked about how high I am on nabbing Calderon late (in the comments above). Williams def. has some upside, but it’s pretty crowded in Indy. However, Jim O’Brien’s new offense gives players way more offensive freedom, so there will be a lot more shots (and stats) to go around that team than last year’s version.

    1)Calderon
2)Hermann – no Morrison for the year
3)McCants – sleeper on a team full of young breakout candidates
4)Williams/Williams – similar value – your guess is as good as mine
    5)Turiaf
