I participated in a fantasy football industry mock draft last night. Click here for the results, which are going to be in RotoWorld’s fantasy football magazine. I represented RotoWire and think I came out pretty good. I’ll go over the draft results in greater detail in the next day or so, but for now, here’s my roster:

Devery Henderson will lose his spot to Meachem.
JPru – I know, I know. I really like Young as a fantasy QB this year – even as a top-5 option b/c of all the running he’ll do. But coming from someone who drafted Shaun Alexander last year, believe me, the Madden factor gave me pause.
Tintle – You’re crazy. Meachem could put up better numbers than your average rookie WR b/c of the Bress factor, but Henderson, although inconsistent, led the NFL in 40+ yard catches last year. That’s a key stat to look at. Explosive.

Tintle – You realize Joe Horn is gone, right? You think Copper is beating out Henderson as well?
Wooooaaaaah there, son. I mentioned nothing of Copperhead. Robert Meachem is a legit wr who can play many different roles. not just a deep threat (which henderson will be as a SLOT reciever).
Just like he lost his default spot after Stallworth left. Not that Colston isn’t legit (because he is the illest), but if Henderson can lose his spot to a 7th round pick from Hofstra, he can lose it to a 1st round pick from Tennessee. Henderson is one dimensional, and is strenght will be utilized better from a 3-WR set.

That Saints offense has plenty of yards/TDs to spreads around. I just think Meachem may take awhile, like all rookie wide receivers.
