Just curious: Anthony Thomas ran well last week, and has a sweet matchup against the Colts…do you have him ranked where you do because you think the Bills are going to be down huge early? I get to choose between Lundy, A-Train, and Lamont Jordan for my flex…and am not particularly excited about it.

Anthony Thomas did look good last week and the Colts matchup is good on paper, but the fact is that he hasn’t looked very good for years now. I think he’ll be a fine flex play while McGahee is out (which could be longer than most expect), especially against Houston next week. But like you said, I expect Buffalo to be playing from behind for most of Sunday, and Bob Sanders’ return will really help that run D. I could have easily moved up A-Train to #23, ahead of Foster, Lewis and Lundy, but def. not higher than that. Considering you’re choosing b/w Lundy and him, that’s not much help, I know. One thing’s for sure, I’d go with either one over L. Jordan at this point.

Lundy and the Texans should also be playing from behind mostly, but he’ll be much more involved in the passing game.

Go with the A-Train over Lundy. . .

I went with Lundy over edge james for this coming week.
It hurts to see that early pick rotting on my bench tho.

I was leaning towards Lundy because he has been catching passes…but the matchup just favors the A-Train so much. The situation might resolve itself though as I’m trying to swap the A-Train for another WR…I’m hoping the RB-starved owner of Matt Jones will do the swap.

In my other league, I think I’m leaning towards starting Edge again…I’m pretty sure he can turn his 25 carries into at least 50 yards, and I don’t know what to expect from Maroney, and Caddy is permanently glued to the pine. I haven’t had any takers on my 3:1 trade offers yet…but I’m really, really hoping one of them goes through.

I give Robby credit for calling Edge James as a huge bust this year. I didn’t love him, to be sure, but I still thought he’d be involved enough in the passing game and a potent enough offense to be a worthwhile late first round pick. He’s basically worthless at this point. If you can get Maurice-Jones Drew for him, do it.

It should also be pointed out that if both Marcus Stroud and John Henderson are out for Jax, it definitely helps Lundy quite a bit. But A-Train is probably more likely to score. I like Matt Jones from here on out.

When you’re trying to deal A-Train, talk up his matchup w/ Houston next week and the fact McGahee has 3 broken ribs – I really think he’s going to miss an extended period of time.

Crazy how closely I ranked your Edge, Maroney, Caddy trio.

Yeah, thanks for ranking those guys so close! 🙂

To nobody’s surprise, I’m not having much luck turning Caddy/Edge/Branch into a decent RB, so I’m hoping I can turn A-Train into a decent WR in my other league, and I’m definitely playing up the matchups and likely 4-week starting gig. I’ve made my play for Matt Jones, just sent an offer for Stallworth too…I’m trying to think if another decent WR2/3 type that I could start more consistently (and hopefully with a favorable playoffs schedule) than Gabriel…Braylon Edwards maybe?

Now it looks like the 49ers are trying to head south…this is crazy. It seems like my teams are trying to come closer…now if only the Warriors can start playing in the Shark Tank!

I like the Stallworth offer a lot, actually. He’s a really good guy to target right now…I like Lee Evans’ upcoming matchups, but he’s probably going to be a little harder to get….Greg Jennings has one of the very best fantasy playoffs schedule, and is still nicked up right now – I really like the idea of acquiring him now….Braylon Edwards would be fine as well, but those @Balt and @Pitt weeks 14/15 matchups aren’t ideal.

Yeah it’s ridiculous being a sports fan in California right now. The A’s, Kings and 49ers are all going to move within a decade. We obviously don’t talk about hockey here, but do you go to a lot of Sharks games?
